iTunes 9 still not 64-bit, internally referred to as “iTunes X”
One of the minor rumors surrounding the Music Event was that iTunes would be rewritten in Cocoa to enable it to match Snow Leopards 64-bit applications such as the Finder. However, this new release of iTunes is not yet 64-bit capable.

iPhone OS 3.0 New Features

Apple Web store(s) offline; rumblings of announcements build
As of Sunday morning Eastern time, reader and source reports have been coming in at a blistering pace as the online Apple Store reportedly went offline for most of the night. It came back later Sunday morning, and remained online throughout the remainder of the weekend.

iPhone Software Update 2.0.2 Released
Late Tuesday evening, Apple released version 2.0.2, a relatively modest update officially containing only bug fixes but unofficially including a number of non-bugfix tweaks to several major components of the onboard operating system as well as its bundled applications in at least three confirmed instances -- Settings, Mail and Safari.

Rumor: New iPhones to require contract before purchase?
Sources are passing word that Apple may require new buyers to sign up for a service contract before buying the new iPhone 3G.
No rentals for 5G video iPods?
It seems a number of users have reported that rented movies cannot currently be transfered to a 5G/5.5G video iPod. When you attempt to transfer a rented movie to your 5G iPod, iTunes will give you an error message stating that the movie "was not copied to the iPod because it cannot be played on this iPod".
