Apple has seeded build 8P2122 of Mac OS X "Tiger" 10.4.9 to developers, weighing in at 164MB (Intel) and 70MB (PowerPC) respectively. Known issues are far fewer than in previous builds, and changes are surprisingly numerous for an interval of only two builds since the last seed (8P2120) issued a week ago.

Given the shrinking known-issues list, the accelerating pace of smaller changes, and the overall maturity of the current build....sources project that the release of 10.4.9 should arrive within a week or so.
