Apple has released a new lineup of iPod Shuffles; the only changes are color options -- in addition to the original silver, versions in Orange, Pink, Green and Blue are now available.
According to several published reports, Apple approached Verizon with an exclusive deal to provide service for the iPhone (something that Rumors reported on several times, about a year ago) but due to the terms of the agreement -- Apple wanted a share of service revenues and control over the customer relationship, terms very different from the normal service provider/cellular phone-maker relationship -- Verizon turned down Infinite Loop. This, according to sources, sent Apple to Cingular/AT&T with the original iTunes cellular software deal that signified the start of a relationship that will very much influence the future of both Apple and the cellular phone industry.
Rumors has confirmed that Apple is indeed working on a tablet device to bridge the iPod/iPhone to the entry-level Macs -- and to provide an inexpensive, flexible interface device to manage the many devices that the company is delivering in 2007. Full Article
