Which I love, it does not bother me that the price dropped, look at how much a DVD player cost compared to 5 years ago. Its the price we pay for technology, design and the newest gadgets. If they keep 30% of the profits from that, then the hardware is somewhat subsidized by its own software (the profit model used for game consoles). This is the opposite of how regular iPods work, as their software (music) sales are more or less break even and are subsidized by the hardware costs.
